If you know anything about me, you know that I’m not a fan of low fat diets. Doesn’t matter if it contains real protein or not. Lowering fat not only makes food taste crappy, it makes food less satisfying. As a result, fat is replaced by sugar to give some kind of satisfaction and taste to food (because salt is the other problem with health authorities).

Increased sugar consumption leads to many diseases (especially mental disorders including an inability to learn, autism, depression, dementia and more) and is the cause of increased weight and obesity across all societies who adopt it. Even sadder is when it is adopted in conjunction with a vegetarian diet which ends up being an all sugar diet (remove protein — no, nuts and legumes aren’t protein — and fat and carbs are the only macronutrient left).
Watch this video to get the skinny on fat and sugar and what at least one government is doing to head off this disaster. Pay particular attention to the part where they talk about 20% of obese people actually being metabolically fit and 40% of skinny people getting undesired outcomes.
